What Norva is

Norva grades packaged food on how it relates to five training outcomes — endurance, power, strength, hypertrophy and recovery — for the sport and goal you told it about. It explains every grade and cites the research each rule comes from.

By installing and using it, you accept these terms. If you do not, uninstall it.

You need to be old enough to hold an account with your app store, and if you are under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's agreement to these terms.

Norva is published by Killian Doubre, 5B Rue Léon Bertrand, 06200 Nice, France. Write to contactnorvaapp@gmail.com about anything in these terms.

What Norva is not

It is not medical advice, and it is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nothing in it replaces a doctor, a registered dietitian or a qualified coach.

If you have a medical condition, an allergy, an eating disorder, or are pregnant, talk to a professional before changing what you eat. Do not use Norva to decide whether a food is safe for you.

Allergens and dietary conflicts

If you tell Norva which foods you do not eat, it will warn you when a product appears to conflict. That warning is informational and cannot be relied upon for safety.

Always read the physical label. If an allergy could harm you, the packaging is the only source to trust.

Grades are opinions, not measurements

A grade is the output of rules we wrote, applied to data someone else published. Both can be wrong. The rules are open to inspection in Method and sources, together with the research behind them, precisely so you can judge them yourself.

Nutrition science changes, and so will the grades. A product's grade may differ between versions of the app.

Product data

Product and nutrition data comes from Open Food Facts under the Open Database License. We do not own it, verify it or guarantee it. A product may be missing, mislabelled or carry the wrong nutrition values.

Subscriptions

Most of Norva is free and stays free: every grade, the axis your sport asks for with its reasons and its sources, the week in progress, and the method screen. A subscription opens the five other axes, the best swap, and the weeks already finished.

Who sells it. Apple or Google, not us. The price you see is the one your store reports for your country, tax included where the store includes it. We never see your card or your billing details.

Auto-renewal. A subscription renews by itself at the end of each period unless you switch renewal off at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your store takes the payment within the 24 hours before renewal.

Free trial. Where a trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first. The app schedules a reminder the day before, because it says it will — but the reminder is a courtesy, not a condition: cancelling remains yours to do, and a phone that is off or has notifications disabled will not show it.

Managing and cancelling. From your store account — Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions on iOS, Play Store → Payments and subscriptions on Android. Profile → Manage the subscription links straight there. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.

Restoring. What you bought belongs to your store account, not to this install. Profile → Restore a purchase brings it back on a new phone or after a reinstall.

Refunds are the store's to give, under the store's own policy. We cannot issue them and cannot overrule a store's decision.

Price changes apply from the next renewal, and your store asks for your agreement before charging more.

Nothing already given is taken away. If you were using Norva before a feature moved behind the subscription, it stays open to you.

Your data

Everything stays on your device. We hold nothing, so we can neither recover your data nor lose it. Backing it up is yours to do — Profile → Your data → Export.

Uninstalling deletes everything permanently.

Availability

Norva is provided as is, with no warranty. It depends on Open Food Facts being reachable; when it is not, only products already on your phone can be graded. We do not promise the app will keep working, keep being distributed, or keep any particular feature.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by French law, and disputes go before the French courts.

If you live in the European Union, that changes nothing about the protections your own country's consumer law gives you: those apply whatever this section says, and you can bring a claim where you live.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using Norva, including choices you make about what to eat. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes

These terms may change with new versions. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
